JAS Tekniikka Oy repair and maintenance delivery conditions

1. General

JAS Tekniikka Oy performs repairs only in accordance with these conditions, except in cases where the repair is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, in which case the manufacturer's specified warranty conditions apply. In repairs where the customer requires the manufacturer's warranty, but the warranty conditions are not met, JAS Tekniikka Oy makes a cost estimate for the repair, which applies JAS Tekniikka Oy's delivery conditions and charges according to section 2.3.


2. Order, cost estimate and repair

2.1 JAS Tekniikka Oy performs repairs only after receiving written orders. A verbal agreement is not accepted.

2.2 JAS Tekniikka Oy provides the Customer with an order confirmation and performs the necessary repairs, unless the customer has requested a cost estimate for the repair first. The customer can set a maximum price for the repair when the product is delivered for repair. If the repair cost is higher than the maximum price specified by the customer, a cost estimate is sent to the customer. In such cases, the same conditions apply to the costs as if the customer had requested a cost estimate from the beginning.

2.3 If the customer has requested a cost estimate, JAS Tekniikka Oy reserves the right to deviate from the final costs by +/- 15%. If the customer has received a cost estimate and accepts the repair, JAS Tekniikka Oy does not charge separately for making the cost estimate. The cost estimate is valid for 10 days after it is sent to the customer. If the customer does not want to carry out the repair or does not accept the cost estimate within 10 days, the product will be returned to the customer unrepaired. If the product is found to be damaged during the possible disassembly performed in connection with the cost estimate, in such a way that it cannot be returned unrepaired in the same condition as it arrived, JAS Tekniikka Oy reserves the right to return the device unrepaired in the condition that is technically possible. If the customer has requested that the product be returned unrepaired or if the product has been found to be unrepairable, JAS Tekniikka Oy will charge a cost estimate fee: digital compact cameras / inkjet printers / mobile devices €33. Digital system cameras, lenses and accessories for the aforementioned / video cameras and video cannons / other office products €49.

2.4 If more defects are detected in the product that are not part of the cost estimate, JAS Tekniikka Oy reserves the right to cancel the repair and issue a new cost estimate for the repair.

2.5 For products returned unrepaired, JAS Tekniikka Oy will charge the fees according to section 2.3 and possible delivery costs.

2.6 The payments presented in sections 2.3 and 2.5 above include value added tax.

2.7 JAS Tekniikka Oy reserves the right for organizational reasons to deliver repair work to a subcontractor or to the manufacturer's central maintenance.

2.8 JAS Tekniikka Oy's ability to carry out repairs depends on the availability of spare parts. JAS Tekniikka Oy reserves the right to invoice the costs mentioned in sections 2.3 and 2.5 and other reasonable costs in case that the repair cannot be carried out due to the availability of spare parts.

2.9 JAS Tekniikka reserves the right to carry out the repair according to the given estimate with a replacement device that is of the same condition and features as or better than the customer's device.

3. Maintenance guarantee and responsibility

3.1 All repair work performed by JAS Tekniikka is performed in compliance with national legislation. If an error is detected in the repair work performed by JAS Tekniikka Oy, JAS Tekniikka Oy will carry out the repair free of charge and within a reasonable time as a maintenance guarantee. The warranty period for work and spare parts is 6 months for camera products from the date of completion of the repair, 1 month for office and mobile devices from the date of completion of the repair. If the performed work is checked during the maintenance warranty period and no defect under the maintenance warranty is found in the work (fault in the work performed or in the spare part used for the work), the customer will be charged the inspection costs as workshop work according to the working time elapsed according to the valid price list.

3.2 The warranty mentioned in section 3.1 does not apply to liquid damage repairs or situations where the device fails again due to parts of a previously performed repair procedure or is otherwise caused by the following: Liquid damage, impact or drop damage, compression, use of excessive force, use of the device against the instructions, wear or other damage caused by an external factor. The warranty is also not valid if the device has been serviced/repaired/dismantled/changed by a party other than JAS Tekniikka Oy after the repair by JAS Tekniikka Oy.

3.3 JAS Tekniikka Oy is not responsible for indirect damages or costs caused by the repair.

3.4 JAS Tekniikka Oy is not responsible for the accessories delivered with the device to be repaired (such as charging devices, memory cards or covers) or for the files or settings in the device or in the media accompanying the device.

3.5 The repaired product is returned at the customer's responsibility and expense. At the customer's request and expense, JAS Tekniikka Oy insures the repaired product against transport damage. In case of damage caused by the transport, a damage report and a claim for compensation must be made to the carrier. If this claim has not been made, the customer has no right to compensation.

3.6 If the customer has not picked up or accepted the repaired product for delivery after three months from the completion of the repair and when JAS Tekniikka Oy has notified the customer of the completion and non-collection, or the repair of the product has not been paid in accordance with section 4, the ownership of the product is transferred to JAS Tekniikka Oy


4. Payment

4.1 The repair is paid in full on the invoicing date.

4.2 Payment is made in cash at the time of delivery or by invoice according to the agreement.

4.3 If the customer refuses to pay for the repair despite the prompting of JAS Tekniikka Oy or their collection agency, the ownership of the device to be repaired is transferred to JAS Tekniikka Oy in accordance with section 3.6

4.4 In connection with late payment, JAS Tekniikka Oy has the right to charge interest on late payment. In addition, JAS tekniikka Oy reserves the right to compensation for late payment or non-payment.


5. Other

5.1 Repair work is performed by JAS Tekniikka Oy except in situations according to section 2.7.

5.2 Finnish legislation applies to these conditions. Disputes between the customer and JAS Tekniikka Oy are resolved exclusively in accordance with Finnish legislation in a Finnish court. These conditions do not limit the customer's rights according to the Consumer Protection Act.

5.3 Deviations from these terms require written approval signed by both parties.

5.4 The customer gives JAS Tekniikka Oy the right to communicate with the customer by phone, e-mail and other means of communication regarding repair work, equipment offers and other matters related to JAS Tekniikka Oy's business.

5.5 By delivering the device for repair, examination or repair cost estimate, JAS Tekniikka Oy's customer accepts these terms of delivery.
